MY STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
My style is classic documentary wedding photography with gentle guidance when you need it. For most of your wedding day, I simply observe, anticipate and capture real moments as they naturally happen — the emotions, laughter, little details and interactions you may not even notice yourself.
I know that most couples are not professional models, and you don’t need to be. I will help you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, gently guiding you on how to move and interact naturally without putting you into awkward or overly staged poses.
I usually need just 10–15 minutes with you to create a collection of beautiful, timeless couple portraits - the kind of photographs you will want to print, frame and keep for years. The rest of your day can simply be enjoyed while I capture your wedding in a natural documentary style.
You can discover more about my approach in my Style of Wedding Photography blog article.
PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATIONS
Since 2012, I have been part of the international wedding photography community, with my work represented on respected professional platforms including MyWed, ISPWP, WPJA, The Wed and Wezoree.
My photography has also been featured by Junebug Weddings, one of the world’s leading wedding inspiration platforms, where my work and articles have been published.
Being recognised within the international wedding industry has connected me with talented photographers and creative professionals from around the world, while constantly inspiring me to develop my own approach to natural, documentary wedding photography.
ELVIR'S WEDDING PUBLICATIONS
I am truly honoured to be recognised as a London wedding photographer whose work has been selected for publication in Tatler, Vanity Fair and Brides. Having my photography featured by such respected publications is a wonderful recognition of the work I love doing.
My photography combines natural documentary moments with timeless portraits, capturing real emotions, beautiful details and the unique atmosphere of weddings in London, across the UK and internationally.
MY EQUIPMENT
I always photograph weddings with two professional cameras. If one camera ever fails, I have a backup ready, so no important moment of your wedding day is missed. Using two cameras with different lenses also allows me to work quickly and discreetly, without constantly stopping to change lenses. It gives me the freedom to capture a wider variety of images, from beautiful wide shots showing the atmosphere of your wedding to intimate portraits, details and spontaneous moments.
I use Sony 7mIII and SonyC and premium lenses: Carl Zeiss 24-105, Sony 16-35, Sony 50, multiple flashes
MY AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHS AND PHOTO SERIES
I never photograph a wedding for my portfolio or create images just to win awards. Your memories always come first. I want you to have photographs that will become more valuable with every passing year. I will remind you to take a photograph with your mum, ask about the important guests who have travelled from far away, and make sure the people who matter most to you are part of your wedding story.
Wedding photography is also a form of visual art, and sometimes those genuine, unexpected moments become something truly special. I am delighted that some of my photographs and wedding series have been recognised with awards by MyWed, an international community of professional wedding photographers. These awards celebrate creativity, emotion and visual storytelling, but for me, the greatest value of every photograph will always be the memory it holds for you.
